Session 8: Morning of the First Day Report
General Summary
The group meets Syn and get a wardrobe update to fit in with the movers and shakers in the political gala later. They meet Francis and agree to travel with him, as he is old and willing to front 900 gold if they make up the other amount needed to charter a vessel to get to Bassuras. He is willing to aide them as needed, and there was interest expressed in continuing to travel with him to the southern Oderan Wildes to help him capture and finish his map. They agree to meet with him on the morning of 18 Misuthar (in 3 days) to go to charter a ship from the ship master. (Who is Fredrick Ka'dellen -- Johannes' friend).
The Gala: A lot happens the first night. The group makes themselves known in various ways, and gains some support in varying degrees. Olin and Flick successfully seem to get "in" with Bragga, where Olin is a religious dignatory to expand temples of worship (Bragga asks after getting one for Bane), and Flick a fey business person to talk trade with fey creatures to integrate into Bragga's current empire. At the dance, Flick and Olin distract Bragga for a bit and set up meetings with him, Olin dances with Bragga. Guen steals a daggar and some coins from him, the daggar is a Soul Stealer. Johannes dances with Riely, and finds her to be the maid in question, and sees her necklace has magic. Pipus looks for other things to use against Bragga.
The second day with different meetings happening the group splits of sorts to try to figure out how best to get the humiliation they were hired to do, and do other things as desired.
