Gauvuns

The Gauvuns are a humanoid reptilian race, forced into slavery by the Keln Empire. Known for their innate telepathic and telekinetic abilities, they are prevented from using their abilities by advanced slave collars. Some have managed to escape whilst on Earth, and promptly joined Shackleton.   The Gauvuns are intimately bound together through their telepathy, sensing each other's pain and joy. As a result, they have little individuality and are generally perceived as one large entity working for the same goal. They also have a complicated relationship with time, being able to see not only into the past but also into the future to a limited degree - the prophetic abilities of their Elders have often been exploited by the Keln Empire.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Gauvuns are mostly humanoid in terms of anatomy. With two arms, two legs and similar organs and bodily processes. However, their brain possesses telepathic and telekinetic properties that allows use of their powers. They also have third eye (that only opens when using their powers) and only have four fingers on each hand.

Additional Information

Uses, Products & Exploitation

As their telekinetic abilities are perfect for manual labour, the Keln Empire have exploited the Gavuns and forced them into slavery. All enslaved Gauvuns are forced to wear a collar that limits their telepathic abilities and prevents connection to the hive mind. This causes pain and stress in the Gauvuns, who cannot properly communicate without a connection.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Gauvuns have been ripped from the homeworld and sent across the universe, forcing to work as slaves for the Keln Empire. This causes them great stress, as they cannot commune over such long distances and cannot contact each other without a significant amount of energy.

Average Intelligence

Gauvuns are extremely intelligent, but not by human standards. Although the lack any scientific or technological knowledge, they possess an understanding of the universe that cannot be comprehended by Human and Keln.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Gauvuns are united through a hive mind, this allows them to share information and emotion between each other and results in a perceived lack of individuality. As they are all so intimately linked, they are often viewed as a gestalt entity. Not every Gauvun has the same abilities, but most have the ability to move objects with their mind and heal injuries. Extremely powerful Gavuns, at the height of their focus, can see through time into the past and future.
