The Tarageon Feathers

As many as there are folk who can learn magics. The number that cannot is tenfold.   Occupations where one goes through the motions and returns home does not give opportunity to learn the arcane arts or sit with druids for hours on end.   With this in mind a Wizard, Tarageon, begun looking into ways to make the common folk have access to magic.   Tarageon travelled as far and wide as they could, taking note of the every day things folk could improve with minor access.   The one that stood out the most was communication. Farmers having to send runners to market to ask for prices and numbers of stock needed.    Parents worrying about their children being too far away that they couldn't hear the call for supper.   Many more examples cross Tarageon but this would be what they resolved first.   Laying upon their back outside the town of Krool. It came to them. The birds in the sky, how swift they were. It was simple, all that was needed was the a way to have words travel in haste to one another without vast amounts of power being wasted.    Tarageon reached out to the Asphere, air spirits that crossed the back and forth from the elemental plane of air to the material realm.   Making a deal with them that consisted of the Asphere providing Feathers from the avian creatures in their realm. That Tarageon could enchant and leave in towns and villages. And the occasional city.    The user would speak into the Feather and the message would go through to a waiting Asphere. Said spirit would then travel quickly through the Air plane and pass the message on at its destination.    Not as quick as one to one magic but definitely a vast improvement for those without direct access to the arcane.

Very nice way to describe a great idea to comunicate with the help of invisible other planes. Though I wonder : what was Tarageon part of the deal ? What was in for the Asphere ?
