The Steampunk Riots

Revolution

36/47/04

Emboldened by Elilaurance's success, The Steampunks band together and form a coalition intent on legalising the novel technology. A harsh response leads to a riot in Hanzig that burns down part of The Trent Collegia.

With the wide spread of Elilaurance de Treva's innovations regarding steam technology, the Steampunk begin to formalise their organisation. Creating The Guild of Steam and Piston Enthusiasts (The GSPE), they begin a series of protest marches throughout Hanzig, Leiden, and Varsica.   The Cognite Church responded brutally however, quashing the protests and arresting their leaders without charge. The Palantine Court reacts furiously, eventually leading to their release, but the damage is already done. The Steampunks begin strike action and civil disobedience through the Empire.
