The Dissolution of Redemption

Disbandment

As a child, Vahalian, Twice-Turned, had long been disgusted by the actions of The Knights of the Last Redemption. As such, one of his first acts upon ascencion to the throne was to order their immediate disbandment, and the arrest of any continuing their work.   Such was greeted postively by many, their rule of terror once excused by the actions of the past now loathed and hated. Magic, though never officially outlawed, was once again welcome within the Empire, and the Cognite Church was publicly chastised for their cruelty and mismanagement.   Despite this, some continue the work of their predecessors in the shadows, their fervor too great to be restrained by mere mortal law. Renegade and hunted, they have turned to dark corners in order to survive and thrive within their new station.
