Saracens Imperium

The most reliable way to move anything through District 5. Not the cheapest. Not the fastest. The most reliable.

The Saracens control the majority of organized contraband movement through the Underpass. Their routes are mapped, maintained, and rotated on schedules only Architects and the Triumvirate know in full. Their business model is reputation: they do not steal from clients, they do not betray contracts, and everything else is negotiable. That is not.

The guild is governed by the Triumvirate: Desta handles logistics and pathfinding, Cassius manages the storage network, and Noor runs counter-intelligence. No player outside the inner circle has met all three.

Cultural Identity

Respirator masks, muted earth tones, weathered jackets, boots designed for silence on stone. The only shared identifier is a small closed-eye symbol tattooed on the inside of the left wrist, shown only to verify identity. Absolute operational silence is cultural as much as tactical. Members never discuss operations in public, never carry visible identifiers, never acknowledge the guild to outsiders.

The Guild

  • Architects (8-12 active): Senior operatives managing specific routes. An Architect's hand-drawn route map is the most sensitive document in the guild.
  • Carriers (40-50 active): Professional smugglers moving goods in pairs through assigned routes. Trained to avoid confrontation entirely.
  • Echoes (50-60 active): Information couriers relaying messages between cells. They know their message and nothing else.
  • Vaulters (15-20 active): Warehouse specialists managing hidden storage throughout the Underpass.
  • Sweepers (10-15 active): The guild's only Combat personnel. Deployed when avoidance has already failed.

Known Relationships

  • Kroty: Their biggest infrastructure partner. Roughly 30% of Saracen routes run through Kroty-maintained tunnels.
  • Luipaarden: Hired for high-risk shipments. A professional arrangement that suits both parties.
  • Păianjenii: Desta maintains a standing intelligence account. She has never asked how they obtain what they sell her.
  • Lara Opus: Moves through Saracen routes without interference or payment. Desta personally reroutes Carriers to avoid intersecting her paths. This policy has never been explained in writing.
  • MQ/imcool and The Salary Man: The only two players the Saracens are afraid of.
