If Netmirth didn't exist, Iris would undoubtedly be the best techie in the game. She is what players call a "special outlier", an NPC who can craft Silver Tier Gear, a feat thought to be exclusive to players. While her mastery is restricted to movement Gear, its quality is legendary.

• Players using grapple lines she has tuned report them holding firm under g-forces that should snap them instantly.
• Boots she calibrates find impossible traction, allowing players to wall-run on surfaces that are wet, damaged, or otherwise non-viable.
• Her diagnostic ability is considered supernatural; she can identify flaws not just in a piece of Gear, but in the physics affecting it. This has made her the go-to engineer for top-tier speedsters like Licorice and Umazing!!!1!.

More than just a crafter, Iris acts as the unofficial quality-control arbiter for the entire Techies Zone. Getting her to accept a commission is a status symbol.

She is notoriously selective, instantly rejecting projects that rely on what she calls "aesthetic nonsense" or "unstable principles". Her approval is a sign that an idea is sound, while her dismissal often precedes a spectacular, and expensive, failure on the Test Floors.
