Background

Ana Paredes was the daughter of an executive of one of the many, long forgotten megacorps of Earth. Ever curious, after attaining her 3rd Ph.D she used her father's vast amount of resources to leave her homeworld at the age of 19 to seek adventure and become one of many independent explorers during the Second Wave of Colonization.   Ana quickly become one of the most renowned and skilled explorers when it came to navigating through the dangerous meta-dimensional space that separates star systems from one another. There are several theories to suggest that Ana had an unusually strong connection to the metadimension than most, which enabled her to easily glide through the chaos. Other more religious groups claim that Ana was a prophet chosen by God to Shepard the human race to their point of Ascension. What is known is that Ana had a near complete lack of fear and complete trust by her crew. Before her disappearance, the crew of explored and charted over 30 different sectors comprising of over 800 different systems, enabled by the great psi-tech drives now lost to The Scream.   The crew of quickly become wealthy beyond belief, selling navigational data to the many sectors she charted throughout her career. However, nothing could compare to the discovery of Cibola Sigma. A sector providing the potential of complete self-sufficiency from the core worlds, one that comprised of six oxygen rich planets hospitable to human life. After Ana had fully charted Cibola Sigma she relayed her discovery along with a complete system map to every Terran Mandate connected system, for free, setting off a massive gold rush that would soon seed Cibola Sigma with life.   It is unknown as to how Ana die, much like many of her peers, the evidence would suggest that she perished during a spike drill to an unknown system. But much like the legend that Cibola Sigma bears its name from, stories say that her last and most grand discovery was managing to pierce The Veil and finding the seventh great system of Cibola Sigma.
