Zidian Coins

Zidian coins are a universe currency made from the wood of the zidsan tree. These coins carry either the imperial seal or the alliance seal. Interesting enough you would think wooden coins would burn rather quickly making it dangerous to keep near a fire. Only dragon fire or the flame of a fire elemental could ever burn these coins as they have a habit to absorb the essence. To make sure you don't get a fake currency, you can always place it near and rune stone or any source of magic to see it's symbols glow. -Ace Cardia

History

Zidian Coins were created by the fellowship of races as a means to create trade between them. The wood of the zidsan tree was chosen as it was considered the most valuable resource after the fall of the ancients. Originally these coins carried the symbol of the fellowship and were traded regularly between each other during the time of peace.   After the first descendant war when the presari formed their empire they stopped marking the coins with the fellowships' symbol and marked them with the imperial sigil. When the second descendant war started the beast clans began marking their coins with the brand of the alliance.

Significance

Economic Influence

Zidian coins brought these fledgling societies under a standard banner. Trade was possible that lead to different races depending on each other in different ways. It was only after the many wars that the coins lost the connection it brought amongst the people. Now just a means of trusted currency that is key to trade.

Cultural Influence

There was a time that was essential to the different cultures of the world. A symbol of peace that became tainted by the greed of the forming nations that made them less a symbol of unification, and now merely just a means of trade that can be trusted.
