Prompt 6: The Under Waste
The Under Waste is a name given to the underground caverns that stretch across the frozen waste. Some belive these caverns were carved out by the ancient Lord of Order as a means of escape from any threat on his life or a safer way to transport his armies. What is known is that do to the many roots of the Zidian tree creatures of magical origin have taken up down below. adapting to the lack of light or gravitating to the light source that comes from the Zidian roots.
Their are many caverns all through out and they are interconnected through tunnels and crevices that dot the land. Rich resources can be found here, though at great risk for those foolish enough to dare.
Geography
A dark underground landscape were the only light is the eerie glow of the zidian sap. Cavern has sharp rocks coming from above and below and flat land and crevices carved by underground water. Their is even many different growthes from weird plants that thrived under the glow of the esssence.
Ecosystem
Many of the creatures of the under waste thive from the sap of the zidian tree. This has caused many of the creatures to have mutated from their original forms and given them access to magic. The creatures tend to be more hostile the closer you get to the roots.
Outside of this many of the creatures operate similar what lives above ground as some thive off the plants of the land and others feed on these creatures. The diffrence is in the way even those who thrive of the land can defende themselves against some of the most deadly as they take in more pure sources of contaminated food.
