Prompt 29: A scrad ding

A Scrad Ding (Transfer of Spirit) is a ritual designed by the Great Shamans to finish the transfer of power to the next Great Shaman. After a chosen shaman has proved themselves and been properly trained to take on the mantle, they take part in the ritual. This rite is designed to transfer the true power of a great shaman. The Chant of Primals. These chants carry great power and carry a portion of the power once held by Talion during his war with the Lazari.
Each Shaman performs a different action for their rite doing something that is representation of the rite and the shaman who performs it. The completion of the rite either leads to the death of the great shaman or the weakening of the old Great shaman. Example the one pursuing the chant of Fear would most likely have a challenge where they must be able to induce fear in others. While the chant of bravery the new shaman must overcome their fear or get others to fight by their side in a scary situation.

History

The first A Scrad Ding was performed by Talion who forced his apprentices to prove themselves worthy of his power. He trained them to their peak and then gave them a challenge to overcome the chants or to embody the chants they would hold. They would prove themselves worthy and carry the title of great shaman.
They would then train others to carry the mantle challenging them to similar or worse methods of proving themselves worthy. One example is the Chant of Domination where the previous shaman fought their heir to death so they could die at the peak of the strength.

Execution

Their is a spiritual ritual that needs to be performed and special runes placed upon both the great shaman and the new great shaman. They once the challenge takes place and they win the runes are activated and the power of the great shaman is transferred to the next.
If the Previous Great Shaman is already dead, an amulet holding their power is word by the new great shaman and they must prove themselves to the remnants of the previous great shaman to accept the power into themselves.
