History

The humans are said to not be really from the world of Unsu. Though they could be considered as one of the first servants of the ancients. They suffered far more under the ancients yoke than anyone. Some say all the other races could be linked to humans in some way. That is something that hasn't been proven. What can be said is that humans were given the short stick in the games of survival.   They gained some favor in ancient times as servants of the great builder after he aided the lords with their races. Though in truth they would be pushed back from his interest with the creation of the Volza. Even the fellowship saw no use in the humans and they only got what they had from the fall out of the others focusing on other things.   Humans continued to survive using what they could find and worked hard to build something. Though as the other races began to war, this forced humans to seek help. They would get aid from the presari who would feel sorry for their situation. Fashioning a city they could call their own within the walls of the empire. Many humans would take this offer becoming the founders of the city of Salire.   In time life would only get worse as their leaders would become corrupted by greed and begin calling themselves nobles. In time technology would become their tool and factories would be built to fuel the empire's war. The cost would be the common man and woman who would work these factories. In time morality would fade and even children would find themselves working.   Some would rather go to the street to survive as crimes would rise. Though hope came with the end of the war and a desire to reclaim that which was lost. Caravans would be sent beyond the gateway to the edge of civilization.   Thus the humans would begin their destiny of taming the west.
