Aporeu chronicles Issue 77: I, Warforged
Stories from the adventurers
This week
Quen is getting some competition, another bard send in a song for a story.
I, Warforged by Kenzie
The Rat and the Robot. So… Euhm… Hello dear reader. My name is Kenzie. I’m a bard, and writing comes natural. But, writing songs, not writing in a newspaper. So, I hope you’ll enjoy my story, my way. There are Rats underground, Down there’s a whole damn city. And though they may live quite shitty, They are there, they are found These rats are aware They’re not common vermin, I have come now to determine, That intelligence is there. So this is the song of the rat and the robot. This is the song of light, where there’s none, This is the song, where we all went down under, And instead of rent asunder, Found a friend. We sought a prototype A member of us made it, But I think his memory’s jaded, For he’s not 600 years
So I asked what makes a life,
Worth living or a tool,
Is it me who is the fool,
When I see not robot but man.
So this is the song of the rat and the robot,
This is the song, of light where there’s none,
This is the song where we found a man of metal,
And decides he could settle, In Arnheim as Data.
So, Basically… Naïlo, Gnart, Errus, Iain and I went under the sewers, into some undercities. We found a civilization of Ratfolk, and a metal man. The metal man is alive. His name is Data. Please, if you have a heart, send aid to the ratfolk, and teach the metal man to live.
Yours Truly,
Kenzie Mac An Ruaidh.
Oh, and feel free to come see me, or any of the lasses at Far’Esh Nay’s Inn of Comforts. Shows, every evening, for men AND ladies.
