Language Dictionary
The language dictionary is a computer server at the Lexicon University with portable touchscreen translation units. The materials to create and repair the units are rare, liking access to Earth-like infrastructure, so the quantity is limited. Diplomats and merchants in the field use the dictionary, uploading new words and expanding definitions as they learn.
Significance
The best available communication tool, the portable translator units allow real-time access to the eyan language as humans grow to understand the new world around them. Data sent back to the university allows learning opportunities before leaving the colony and a better chance of navigating the social and political world of the eyan people.
