Dwarf Lineage

Dwarven culture has always been tight knit. They practice ancestor worship by drinking and telling stories. Drinking blurs the line between life and death for them, allowing them to communicate with their ancestors much more easily.


Full Dwarven Linneage [85/45]

Dwarves that practice the ancient traditions of ritualistically drinking before doing anything in their life does not suffer from the negative effects of alcohol unless they are indulging beyond the trappings their practices require. These dwarves are given clear information from their ancestors and may even have their ancestors intervene in times of trouble.
If a dwarf decides not to follow in the traditions, their ancestors will still whipser to them if they require it, but its much more difficult for the living dwarf to be reached. They do, however, save a lot of money since they aren't buying as much alcohol.

    Dwarven Features

    Small in Stature
    • Dwarves are smaller than most other sentients.

    Ancestral Protection
    • Dwarves practice many rites and rituals before anything they do. These rituals usually take the form of drinking and telling each other stories about them or their ancestors. (Disciplines of Faith: Alcoholism)
    • Dwarves that engage in these practices benefit from the guidence and protection of their ancestors (Use higher point cost for template)
      • Along with benefitting from the passive version (below), you may also take a Concentration Manuever and a drink to ask your ancestors directly. Roll against IQ to see if they have an accurate answer. (Racial Memory: Active)
      • Once every 30 minutes of Gameplay, you may reroll a single die roll twice and take the best of the three rolls. (Extraordinary Luck)
    • Dwarves that do not engage in these practices still gain some protection from their ancestors (Use lower point cost for template)
      • When you come across something that your ancestors may have experienced, the GM rolls against your IQ. On a success, you get a sense of deja vu. This could be "the chill on the wind makes you think you might be in werewolf territory". A critical success gives you a vivid memory. (Racial Memory: Passive)

    Dwarven Resilience
    • You may drink steadily for as long as you want without any detrimental effects. (Alcohol Tolerance)
    • If going harder than usual, you gain +2 on all HT rolls related to drinking. (Alcohol Tolerance)
