The Shaperate
A Shaperate houses the Shapers, an Order dedicated to control outbreaks of the charagma and the faustian burn.
These buildings are as grand as temples, much like sanatoriums dedicated to the sick, which dome their roofs and ceilings, as a larger roof is thought to be able to contain more sick-air, miasma, as it drifts upwards. Though, in the case of Shaperates, the domes are said to be made of large panels of glass, windows therein to open to let the air flow free on cloudless days. The grandest of these Shaperates are denoted to have complex glass stained domes which reflect on the denizens and floor below.

A Shaperate at least four main buildings.
The first and main builiding is a place of worship, housing, and general care. There is the Dome which is both the main entry area, a place of divine worship and with the largest done. One branch deviates from the main area and is those clerics who care for the sick, surgeons really, and an area for the sick. The second branch houses the poor and destitute who have lost their homes or are traveling, as they are thought to be the greatest risk of a charagmic infection. If the temple is not in session, it back a back area behind the podium that leads to a library. well-known scholars have been given assess to each Shaperates library, but these tend to be reserved for the clergyman as it contains a compilation of their research. This, and no Shaperate's library can compare to the library dedicated to archiving these works, The Sophia
The building closest to it is the Mausoleum, which houses the dead deep underground. Folk who live near a Shaperate will blame this structure if their farms begin to blight. As such, there is a ritualistic alighting of the Mausoleum every year on the new year.
The third building hosts the barracks for Paladins of those of the cloth who protect those against some of the worst outbreaks of Charagma. Typically, these are thought of as guildhouses as "Guild of Shapers" is a common term for the Elite Shaper Paladins and Shaper Clerics who go about cleansing the land. Additionally, missionaries will stop at this builiding and will sleep here rather than with the common folk. the barracks will also store the belongings of the sick and traveling in this builiding.
The barracks sits closest to the fourth building, known only as the cloister. Clergy who perform charagmic transfusion are housed here for their whole lives, as they will inevitably become an abomination. This allows for the charagma to be studied by a willing participant and means of its eradication thereby studied. Additionally, While outside of government authority, many of them send their mentally insane to be treated here. While the mentally insane are treated like people here, they are still thought to have a charagma of the mind, and are studied accordingly, never allowed to leave but allowed to interact with others. The further floors actually house the Charagma, waste, scourges, abominations and other terrible beasts.
