This stuff is kewl because you can inject the DNA of any other Earth-descended plant species into its seeds and they will add the DNA to their own and it will then be able to control which DNA switches on and off to best suit them. It doesn't start out with any DNA that can make it poisonous which means that, so long as you don't stick any poison-making DNA into it, you can make lots of edible plants.

This is amazing because it essentially allows you to make plants that can survive in any environment or have any other features you want by taking the right bits of DNA and sticking them in. This is far less effort than bio-engineering anything from scratch yourself and so is quite simply perfect for pretty much anything you want your plants to do that already existing ones just aren't doing enough of.

Without modifications, it looks like daffodils but with green petals. DNA has to be injected into SEEDs for them to exhibit traits BUT the DNA can be injected into a grown plant and then its seeds will exhibit the desired traits.

They reproduce asexually to prevent unwanted DNA contamination.

Growth Rate & Stages

Takes about 10 days to reach daffodil looking state, but stays a seed for 14 days of "inject me papi" first.

It doesn't really do well in any harsh environment unless modified but its modified branch-species are pretty much everywhere.

Grows, has seeds inside of daffodil head, daffodil head drops off. A person comes along and opens up the daffodil head and the seeds spill out.
