The Dwarven Clandom inducted three more clans into itself. Clan Sekkinfur was to regulate a growing interest in adventuring and leaving the Absayris Desert. Clan Haggen to advance Dwarven magical knowledge. Clan Chenbrok to do what little farming could be managed in the desert sands.
After more than 2000 years without induction of a new clan, the clans finally agreed that it was time for several new ones. The difficulty had been in getting all of the existing clans to agree to the need for new inductions. In the end, the clans agreed to these three on an exchange of political favors and promises. There were several others who were considered, but only those three were approved. Clan Sekkinfur was primarily backed by Clans Rakkai, Reggok, and Kraghok. They wanted to have groups of dwarves that could regularly keep them informed of things outside of the Absayris that ambassadors may not know about or want to pass on. It also created opportunities to funnel money and magic into the Clandom. Clan Haggen was primarily backed by Clans Oggenheim, Stellenstrik, and Kraghok. Each wanted a dwarven practise of magic for different reasons: cultural strength, artifice, and offense were some of the big options given. Clan Haggen also allowed Dwarves to slowly begin to expand their magical aptitude. Clan Chenbrok was primarily backed by Clans Casenak, Reggok, and Oggenheim. All three largely wanted them for better access to Hreshnik grass, which could be used to make very high-quality alcohol, no matter how it was fermented. This was good for the brewers, business, and a culture that highly valued alcohol.
