The Norenthian Voidsingers

The Norenthian Voidsingers are Norentha's counterpart to Athneron's Chindren of Golden Light, though they are no more cohesive. Their styles are varied and numerous, making them a nebulous organization with few members. The Voidsingers are tied with the Children for size. Both are far below the sizes of the First Ones' churches (excluding the now forgotten Seventh God. The factions of the Voidsingers include some that seem to infight constantly, some that are unified under a central but overbearing authority, and others that work in one organizaiton in several ways. These varied and separate forms of organization have helped to protect the Norenthians from the Athneronians trying to wipe them out.    When it comes to things valued by the Voidsingers, it is often artifiacts or knowledge that they seek, but the holy grail for a Voidsinger is locating the Lost Vale. The Vale is where Shaold, Nekrutan, and later Cheznerix all swore fealty to their new overgod, Norentha. The Vale is said to have relics of all four gods, secured together to secure their pacts. It is unknown if the Vale is even a place mortals are capable of venturing, though this has not stopped legions of Voidsingers, and others, from seeking this lost place with its lost objects of power. Since the Kervtrat, the number of people seeking it on the Prime Plane has vastly diminished as they have begun searching for ways to access the other planes easily as their belief that it no longer resides with them expands. Only time will tell where the Vale is, and what treasures it contains.

Structure

Due to their small size and varied approaches, each faction of the Voidsingers is relatively small. Their differences are also extremely complex, and don't always make sense to those who have not studied the schools of Norenthian philosophy. Generally speaking, if a style of organizational structure is employed by one of her supporters, the same type of structure is employed somewhere in the Voidsingers. Their individual components do not always get along, and while those that are prone to infighting occasionally strike out from their normal targets, they usually stick to themselves. Unlike the Keepers of the Deep, since not all of the factions are involved in the infighting, those who are involved are left significantly weaker than those who abstain.

Culture

The different structures of different factions within the Voidsingers have led to a wide variety of cultures within the wider context of the church. While some of these cultures are definately of the kind one might expect to find amongst those who worship destruction, there are also those that are more supportive and wholesome. When it comes to infighting, it is occasionally these cultures that are at the root of the disagreement, with some believing that the cultures are making people soft or that they disregard the value of their agents too readily.

Tenets of Faith

Nothing escapes destruction.   To destroy is to bring the universe closer its natural state.   Creation is an affront to Norentha.

In the end, all meet their destruction.
