Plendicar Riverlands

The river Plendicar flows south from an inland sea named Celinaire, which is largely, but not entirely, contained within Riflian. The sea's southern border lies next to the Great Jungle of Gerule. While many call it the twin of the Chanithar, or call the Plendicar the longer river, the opposite is actually the case. While the Plendicar Riverlands are larger than the Chanithar Riverlands, the Chanithar River is actually the longest river in Chenravo. The Plendicar Riverlands fall between the Great Jungle of Gerule and the Land of the Magiliths. The western mountains of the Jungle and the mountains just west of the ruby magilith both feed into this river, vo while it may not be the longest river in Chenravo, it is both wide and deep. Unfortunately, due to the size of the river, there are presently no bridges from one side of the river to the other. To traverse the river dryly, a boat is the best option, and there are several ferries operated in the riverlands, but not in the jungle.   Due to all of this excess water, the Plendicar's Riverlands are some of the most damp. Where the jungle meets the riverlands, on cold mornings, the area can be engulfed in fog as the moisture is forced out of the air by low temperatures. The waters from the mountains also contribute to the Plendicar's reputation for some of the safest and cleanest drinking water in Chenravo. Fed by a variety of mountain springs, this river is so clear in places that it makes fishing much easier.    Given the proximity to the mountains and the prescence of fish in the river, many Aarakorca live in the vicinity, particularly those based on pesacarian birds of prey. The largest group on the riverlands, however, are the Biethtìre such as Shifters who appear in beaver or gopher forms, as well as a few foxes. There are also some orc and half-orc encampments here, especially as they continue to be pushed out of the jungle. There are even goliaths, occasionally, as they venture down from the mountains for fighting, exploration, or entertainment.

Geography

The Plendicar flows south from Celinaire, directly into the Great Jungle of Gerule where it is warmed up significantly. From there, it makes its way south by southeast, and breaks free of the jungle after less than 200 miles. From there, it continues through the Riverlands until it reaches the ocean. Along the Riverland's borders with the jungle, there is a clear boundary where the trees stop growing. Some claim it is due to soil differences, while others call it the work of Jakular's devout.    The border with the Land of the Magiliths, however is more gradual. The color of the grasses shift at the border from the bright blue of the arcane-infused grasses of the Land of the Magiliths to the spring green of the Riverlands over a period of a few miles. From the right vantage point, watching the wind roll over the blended grasses is said to be deeply relaxing.
