Chanithar Riverlands
The Chanithar River is the longest river in Chenravo. It begins at the same source as the Plendicar River, but while the latter makes a rather direct path towards the sea, the former's path is a touch more convoluted. It, like its twin river, starts in the Celinaire Sea, and flows southwest. Unlike its twin however, it moves west at a sharper angle and for a further distance. When it finally turns southeast, it is separated from the Plendicar by a mountain range. When it makes its way back east, it ultimately goes south of the mountains, between two ranges. On the other side of the mountains, it takes a turn south, but it still moves a bit eastward. Eventually, at this same angle, it hits the Chanithar Riverlands. Despite the Chanithar being the longest river, it has the shortest riverlands.
The riverlands themselves are a wide, shallow valley. As such, these riverlands are also a touch wider than others. It is directed south by southeast. Like the other riverlands, it has many streams and smaller lakes that feed into the Chanithar River proper. Many of these have their sources in the mountains of the jungle.
While most of the riverlands have been populated by Biethtìre, these are mostly populated by the orcs. Since losing a large amount of their land to the gnomes and their inability to push back the Tabaxi on the Fallen Sea, they have instead turned to the Chanithar Riverlands. The river itself is very useful for helping them move troops deep into the jungle.
Geography
The riverlands themselves are a short but wide valley moving from the Gerule highlands towards the sea. The borders it shares with the Great Jungle of Gerule can be a bit hilly, but its border with the Fallen Sea is largely flat. Due to the valley, and the tributeries running down it, the Chanithar river can hit high velocities at some points as it surges toward the sea, especially in the spring as the ice in many areas melts.
Ecosystem
Due to the orc's "invasion" of the riverlands, much of the ecosystem has been struggilng to adapt. With their voracious apetities and crude means, the riverlands are having trouble keeping up. If this continues, it won't matter how much the river and its tributaries help the region, it will be stripped bare of resources, leaving behind a desolate wasteland.
Climate
These riverlands aren't tropical, though with the humidity from the jungle and the warm air from the sea, it can certainly feel that way. Because the orcs are gathered primarily in the northern part of the riverlands, its long, white sand beaches have gone largely untouched.
Tourism
While its untouched scenery and long stretches of beach were draws for some time, orcs moving into the area made the reputation of this area fall sharply. Even if they are far away from the wonderful areas here, their reputation as fierce and unyeilding warriors has had a significant effect on the amount of visitors.
