Onyo Flashvring

Onyo Flashvring is a goliath from the Ingvar Wildlands on Udarich. He is the current elected leader of the hidden village of Moonvale Grove and brother to Yvonne Flashvring. Onyo is married to Serafina Flashvring.

History

Born in 3167. Unlike his sister, Onyo always wondered what the world was like beyond Moonvale Grove. He knew he'd have the option to leave, and begin a new life with false memories, when he grew up, but never had the courage to make that leap.

When he was twelve, Onyo and Yvonne found an injured leonin girl had found her way past the grove's protective barrier. Yvonne wanted to throw the girl back. Onyo pushed her away and carried the girl to safety. This led to a fight that forever drove a wedge between the two siblings. When Onyo brought the girl to Arthyris, the healer looked after her and spoke with the current village elder. The girl regained consciousness and told Onyo her name, Serafina. After some deliberation, Serafina was allowed to stay in the grove. Onyo and Serafina stayed close throughout childhood and eventually married and had several children, Ryn, Faedra, and Vonya.

Onyo spent his life assisting everyone around town rather than settling into a specific role. It wasn't long before he had a general idea of the way every villager needed to do their job. When the village elder decided to step down, Onyo's knowledge made him the immediate choice for successor among the people living in Moonvale Grove.

Personality

Onyo is friendly, if not overly jovial. He'll happily join in any conversation but it takes a lot for him to really let loose and enjoy himself. He has long sought a way to mend his relationship with his sister but never found how.

It's an open secret that Onyo often spends time thinking about the world beyond the grove. Despite his deep respect for Sindara, Goddess of Nature, he can't help but wonder if this isolated life is really what she wanted for her followers.
