Worldember 21: reading challenge

Magic and magic energy manipulation is via the soul in this system. It raises a few questions about the intersections of theology, philosophy and magic. I may have to address the philosophy in my world.

An alien species with an octopoid radial symmetry. Detailed anatomy and just a nice article overall. The level of integration with the rest of the world is really good.

Nice guide to places to eat and drink, places to stay, some things to do and things to avoid in a small borderlands region of just 3-4 towns/ villages. A different tone and goal in this than my "Journey to Incaras" short. Things to consider in travelogues.

These are a grey alien/ creepy fae type. Very well tied in mythology of Wyrdrings and different worlds. These are the type of things to meld into Fae.

A really nice, tight myth with an elegant structure of a primordial god who is not concerned with the world, but is entertained by what the worshipped gods bring to her. This gives me some ideas of what some of my Primordial gods are about.

Very interesting magical conception. Logic and experience, Emotion and Ethos. It makes me think on the deals and trades of Kobolds and other Daimon/ Daemon. Or the centaur node displacement

Magic is linked to the land and ancestors who make up the personality of the spirit of the estates of the noble families. It is a very interesting and in-depth vision of magic and land ties. The depth is well integrated as well and that is an admirable goal.

This is a very nice character sketch of a demonic influencer.  The personality, their dominion and cult. I need to create a few more demonlord characters and their cults like this.

This article really shows how a simple, common item can be used for individual and cultural significance.  Elegance of the article is not some grand construction- just a simple personal item.  

My goal for the year: get more things set in a playable format. Find players.    Overall to smooth out the empire region and establish a few more historic details.
