Bardo

The future is not a set thing, the Weavers spin the future and cast the players only as the curtain is ready to be raised.
"Oh sons and daughters of noble families. The last realm is the place of the illuminated ones. Here the Karma is read on the spirit and awareness. The cycle of rebirth begins again as you are woven back into the realms shaped by by the burdens and merits. Some descend to realms of desires. Some ascend to Deva. Few may step aside. The Luminous ones ask the heart's desire and the deepest want enters the weave of the future as the soul rushes where the manifestation is present. Great care and focus is needed for the returning soul because the weave is open and any distraction may displace the arrival and return where a soul is due".
Mystic Texts of The Damamilan Priestkings
Charron has no augury. The future is no set thing and is only the best guess from now. Fortune and Ill-luck have a much larger hand and can tip the chain of cause and condition. The reason is that the Bardo plane is where the future is prepared. But it is only built moments in advance.

The Bardo is opposite from the Mortal world: it is there and then vs here and now. It is formless.

The principle inhabitants are minions of Order. Weavers, Spinners, and Liners work the outward flow of the Bardo towards projecting structures spun from the present by the Weavers. The Setters place the materials and events based on threads woven into the soul Azoth of individuals and the quntessence of things as directed by codes of causes and conditions. The two agents of Chaos are Fortuna and Vexation the Avatar of misfortune and bad luck. Either of these being warp the threads of the future, swelling or shrinking the fabric of time, connection and conditions. Quickening or slowing the burn of individual's threads. Re-entry to the weave seals away memory of past lives for most.
The formless soullights bloom on the leading fringe of the Bardo at one side. The Liners read them and pose the question. The flare of the soullight launches it across the Bardo to the trailing edge where they are woven back into the work of the Spinners. Souls are bred of material forms, of emotive elements, of Dream, or of Mind and intellect. Soullights appear from the Dreaming, Umbra and Aphophis. The ones from Apophis and the underworld have been sealed and their past lives forgotten.
Whence goes the soul?   The Deva is ascendent to Heavenly realms in accord with the soulfire's nature. They are free of wants and base desire. They are:
  • The Material revel in the world's function and beauty. Compassion for the living and offering of teaching.
  • The Perfect form are Astral Plane beings of true form and Totems or Avatars of an image or ideal.
  • The Formless: These are being of mind and philosophy without want or desires of forms. They are free of limits.
The Asura or Greater forms: These are spirits able to take physical form but still bound to passions and forms in the world. They are Umbral spirits aligned with choruses of types. They are freed of physical suffering but still are driven by anger, love, possession and want. As such they are beings of strife or conflict. Sidereal fall into this class of beings as are Greater spirit forms.

The Living: being, feeling and desires tied to the body, form and others. It is suffering, hunger and physical sensation.

The animal (Po and Ko) realm of life only driven by hungers, wants and demands of the flesh. Reason is shed or absent.

The Hungry Ghosts: These are gluttonous endlessly desiring souls that can not find satisfaction. They are full of greed, jealousy, and hate and cling to things but feel thwarted and cheated in not having enough.

The Demons: these are the Banes and Manitou - Spirits of malice and corruption- they want to twist the world as their play things, destroy what annoys or resists, remake it in their image. They prefer to kill and destroy, burn and lay waste. They are aligned with and serve the Hell Realms, Deathlords of the Underworld or Oblivion of which they are lesser representations and gateways.
The Hells are the worst aspects of the Primordials that they were and are exiles beyond the edge of the realms in the Void of the Rift:
The Hell Of Fire: Demon entity that is consumed with hate and is a magma Dragon in a lake of fires and scorched scale. It wants worship, but hates that it desires the worship of mortals. It desires the destruction of all that others make.
The Hell of 10,000 bites: demon that delights in torture and torment, investigating life in severed parts and persistence. It is a black tide of liquid scuttling, squirming, flying things that pierce, bite, and sting. It may take on more defined appearance. It's minions suffer extreme sensitivity and fragility of skin.
Hell of Corruption:fetid swamp of rot and decay wrapped in a smokey toxic fog. It wants things turned and finds purposes perverted endlessly amusing.
Hell of Want: It mimics and copies other beings. It is filled with envy and craving, releasing warped “improvements” of other forms.

Nice article! I have only one observation you say "They are freed of suffering but still are driven by anger, love, possession and want. As such they are beings of strife or conflict." Is conflict not a form of suffering in itself? I know it is a philosophical question and everyone may have a different answer to it! I like the quote very much too. Are you consider to put any images in the article?

'The Bardo is opposite from the Mortal world: it is there and then vs here and now.' I love this line. I feel as though it sets up the feel of the Bardo well.
