"That job never should've been accepted, much less assigned-- that's Veiled territory. He's as a good as dead."
— Discussing an Infernal Eye Agent sent to Chardovil East
There is none the Infernal Eye Network fears save their sole rival: the Veiled Voice. A powerful network of spies and thieves spanning most of Chardovil East and within the Altraxian Government, the weakest Veiled could contest any common Network Agent and come away victorious without struggle.
A Single Nightmare
The only Network Agent the Veiled fear is the Blue Star, and the Network takes great pains to ensure the Veiled Voice does not know the Star's identity at any moment. Until the Veiled uncover this Agent's identity, they are often hesitant to engage any Network Agents within Veil territory, lest they encounter the Blue Star, and in all likelihood, lose their lives to him.

Shadows and Strife

The Veiled Voice and the Infernal Eye Network stand as bitter adversaries, each grappling for control over Altraxian black markets. Rarely do their members openly engage one another, instead opting for subtle sabotage or quiet kills. The ultimate goal of their members is to never allow these attacks to be traced back to their superiors.

The Veil vs. the Network

Circa 1506

Prior to The Cataclysm and the first phase of the Astral War, the Infernal Eye Network dominated Altraxian markets, and their leaders were quick to throw around their economic power in efforts to pressure the government to adopt policies favoring them.

Circa 1650

After the devastation of The Cataclysm and the collapse of the Infernal Eye Network, the Veiled Voice moved in to eliminate the few pro-Network government officials that remained, and began shamelessly executing their handful of former Agents that sought refuge in Altraxia. A few Voices of the Eye and Network Defiliers attempted to defect to The Veil, though the Defilers of the Eye were all quickly executed.

The Blue Star
The Veiled Voice never officially declared the Blue Star as dead, and have yet to confirm his death post-Cataclysm. Instead, they remain ever-vigilant for any deaths bearing the Mark of the last Blue Star before the Network's collapse. Unfortunately for them, the last Blue Star was known in Chardovil West to leave no trace of his presence every time he struck.
