New Sea

The New Sea is the name for Ayu's oceans during the Young World age. They were formed when the divine light of the Enlightenment spread across Ebdypha and burned away the clouds and upper layers of the Old Sea. The waters fell so heavily over a short period that it carried minerals from all the newly exposed lands back into the oceans and formed the New Sea, which was salty, and which pushed down what remained of the fresh waters of the Old Seas below Ebdypha itself.
