Handulgar
Handulgars are powerful pure-blooded Dulgars, distinctly visible due to their textured golden skin. A small group of Mahjogar who were praying atop a mountain were closest to the divine light that spilled forth during the Enlightenment, and they became the Dulgar, able to see deeper than most. They looked down and witnessed Aasesh fleeing from the divine light in fear. They felt disgust at his cowardice, and they lured him to the surface of the sea and slew him, wearing his golden flesh to distinguish themselves as the new gods of the continent of Cjangar. The Aureates are the original four to wear Aasesh's skin, and all Handulgar are incestuously descended from these four.
Three Handulgars are worshipped as demigods of Cjangar, and are considered Reliqus. Due to having powerful soulsight ability, many noble Handulgars spend much of their lives with their eyes closed, relying on servants for any activities that require sight. It is extremely rare to witness a Handulgar outside the safety of the noble and royal houses of Cjangar, though their mixed-blood Esdulgar relatives are commonly found scattered throughout Ebdypha.
