Easálíslo / Damned Elves

This is a sub-race of elves who were cast out from the other elven societies many millennia ago due to their interest in the more sinister arts of magic. They are shunned by most other elves as well as by most other intelligent races. Due to this, they long ago moved into the depths of Ærnth's underground realms (some say they were lured there by Moreth (see World Pantheon) or by Mephestopeloes (see Church of the All Father) and have generally dwelled there ever since. They are a very reclusive society with a very militaristic and disciplined society (they are the only sub-race of elves that do not suffer a racial penalty to Self Discipline, but do have flaws (as do all races, including elves (all elves usually tend to be distrusted by humans in general due to their lack of support in the rebellion against the ancient Ruglund Empire)) that balance out their potential benefits). They excel with Essence based magic and are as nimble as other elven races. However unlike most of the other sub-races of elves, the Easálíslo tend to be of dark complexion due to the constant and never-ending sunlight of their homeland (yes, you read that correctly, the never-ending sunlight of their homeland beneath the surface of Ærnth... mhuhuahuahua
Despite their reputation and rumors about them, the very few who do live among the surface of Ærnth, seem to manage to fit into society without too much difficulty. But unfortunately they do suffer from some harsh words and options of those who are shallow and do not truly give strangers a chance to prove themselves. Players, please note that without a very good reason and character background, they will not generally be allowed as an option for Player-Characters.
They are not native to the surface lands of the World of Ærnth, and as such are exceedingly rare, even for Elves. The majority live in the deep forests of Sójaskar.
