A6 North Gate District of Dorgard

The A6 or North Gate district of Dorgard is one of only two ways to get into the smallest of the Channel Cities by land. Unlike most of othe other cities, Dorgard utilizes a less secure wall and gate system than Gorled, Martelain or South Shore, due to not having the wealth of any of those governments when those walls were constructed. These walls around Dorgard consists of two 50’ x 50’ x 30’ high field stone towers with a 12’ high earthen rampart and 15’ high log palisades atop, with a 10’ deep trench (when the tide is high, a shallow muddy moat; when the tide is low, a trench full of thick mud), with spikes set permanently within the bottom of the trench. With one of these towers being located within this district.
There will usually be 4 guards on duty at the gate during the night and 6 during the day with two additional guards that are off on any particular day (these guards get two days off once very 12 days), and with a captain overseeing their activities. Their shifts are roughly 12 hours long with shift change being at about twilight. They bunk on the upper floor of the tower, with there being 3 rooms with four each and a separate room for the gate captain.

The population of this district is roughly 1,700 residents.
