Brumian Kingdom

One of the greatest countries in Vespria, Brumia is renowned for the magnificence of her capital, Briare, the wealth of her cities, the azurine aters of her coast, the vastity of her inland grasslands, and the valour of her knights. Good King Louis IX is currently holding a tournament in the capital, while his magistrates do their best to enforce his authority in the nation's backwater regions. In Brumia, merchants are rich but it is the nobles who have the power, as the rural heartlands of Brumia are all under feudal rule.
In the smaller towns, the feudal power and the royal magistrates confront each other in the search for a balance of power. This confrontation includes moments of rivalry and competition as well moments of collaboration and compromise.
Stable but decentralized kingdom. King Louis IX the Good is respected by every social class. It owes its popularity to its religious devotion to Pelor and its charitable works. The nobility is very powerful, only large cities like Briare are free from feudal control.
