Tower of Maigal

Purpose / Function

the Tower of Maigal is the Academy of Magic. It was founded on the order of the first Pope of the Eroniumian Church in Eldercrest in order to offer education to extraordinary people: people with powers, people with magic, or people with elemental bending. According to Pope Francis the first's decree:

They need to learn how to control their powers, for the sake of the society minimizing the threat they could cause.

Alterations

The tower has been built higher throughout the years in order to be able to maintain the numerous students within the tower. later on, it became so high that the tower needed to construct an elevator inside it. The only elevator in Eldercrest.

History

After the tragedy of Marrys the population of the tower grew rapidly. Parents who discovered that their children had magic, or was able to bend one or serval elements, or had any other powers, such as invisibility, sent them to the tower. They were too many. The next crisis came when some friends to the blood mages causing the tragedy recruited these young children and took off to the Lonely Forests in the southeast. These magic rebels robbed the nearby trading routes for years and forced the order of Maigal to act.

the Plasmatic Battle

The final showdown between the order of Maigal, supported by the Lord of Northsilver, and the rebels, who had gained the support by the Lord of Bearpoint for inferior trespassing, took place in 143 AF in the Lonely Forests. It was later on called the Plasmatic Battle, because of the shimmering lights from plasma magic from both sides. It was the first major battle ordered by the Order of Maigal. The survivors of the rebels were executed on the courtyard of the Tower of Maigal.

Learning from their mistake not taking the young people in, they simply built the tower higher.
