Fallowhill

Fallowhill was once called Greenhill, famed for its lush farmlands (due to its rich glacial soils). Unfortunately, one of the keys to this wealth was a barrier of thick forestland preventing the icy sea winds from damaging the crops. As the town and its wealth grew, the need for timber outstripped the awareness of the danger, and before long the once-rich croplands have become mostly barren. Nevertheless, the town remains, now buoyed by mining and fed by fishing.
