Blessed One

A reincarnation of one of the Six Sons; until the birth of the Seventh, it was always assumed the Blessed One would be male. Only after the Seventh began to show increasing skills beyond any of her predecessors was the term Kumari coined.

Appointment

Blessed Ones were predicted and found by acolytes of the Six Sons - normally they were found shortly after birth and raised by the acolytes themselves. Once the child showed signs of their skill, a ceremonial celebration was held to concretely establish the Blessed One as the personification of the divine.

Responsibilities

Tasked with uniting and leading the people, the Blessed One is both a spiritual and political figurehead.

Benefits

Each Blessed One has inherited a skill from the Son of which they are a reincarnation. Blessed Ones have also been known to far outlive their counterparts (sometimes by as much as hundreds of years).

The first Blessed One came forward in mortal form after ages of chaos. He was considered to be a reincarnation of a Son and was gifted with long life and a supernatural skill which helped assert authority and power over lesser man.
