The Duchy of Cavel administers over vast swaths of farmland and natural resources.  The capital, Caveleon, rests at the source of the brown river, nestled between mountains to the north and the Caveleon forest to the south, with both providing natural defenses against the other provinces.  Caveleon itself was once a great stronghold of the Empire, and manages to retain much of the power once held in the region, with notable trade routes to the east and west.
