Anitech devices can no longer be manufactured, but they can be modified, repaired, and retrofitted from previous devices and scraps.

Anitech is no longer produced as far as anyone knows, but anitech devices are famously durable, and many have survived the last two empires.
Complexity
Anitech devices are both technologically and metamagically complex, requiring advanced knowledge of metallurgy, physics, engineering, arcana, and religion in order to repair and build.
Discovery
Anitech was first used in the late Drogonstall Empire. It is believed that one of the Dragon Kings may have taught the beginnings of this science to the Elves, though it is possible they stole this secret or invented it independently in hiding with their wizard cabals.
