LBF Naval Starfighter Corps

The LBF Naval Starfighter Corps is a branch within the LBF Navy consisting of the many units of starfighters, heavy bombers, and other small fighting craft that travel with the LBF fleet. This branch contains the pilots, hangar crew, and others that facilitate the operation of this force. The LBF Naval Starfighter Corps is also known unofficially as the “stary-eyed fighter corps,” in reference to the branch’s roundel resembling an eye with a star. The corps conducts operations under the navy’s command and mostly operate from warships and naval bases.

Composition

Training

The LBF Naval Starfighter Corps gets priority for the best pilot training. This is because most starfighter combat takes place in naval engagements and operations. Despite a high amount of the best trained pilots, the corps often utilizes cross trained personnel in wartime as a reserve. To bolster pilot numbers and use personnel to their best abilities, the LBF Navy allows soldiers previously not in starfighter training but have certain preexisting skills to train in pilot school. If they pass training, most of the time. the recruit will be put on standby to serve in their previous role and only being assigned missions when the Navy Starfighter Corps needs them. The recruit can fully enlist in the corps if they do extra well and their previous role can be filled, becoming a full time member of the branch. A good example of cross traied soldiers are the members of the Party Platoon and General Pepe’.
