Aquador

Auquador is the largest moon of the planet Ringai. This moon’s surface is nearly entirely ocean with only isolated mountain peaks and volcanoes sticking above the water. Enormous waves speed across the water’s surface because of the gravitational pull of Ringai and the moon spinning around its axis.   Aquador has a native sentient species known as the delphanis. These people are mostly aquatic, shark and dolphin-like creatures who live in nomadic tribes or in a few cities. Nomadic pods of them follow wave movements to hunt for schools of fish and other sea creatures.   There are only a handful of permanent cities on Aquador, the largest of which and the capital is Aquadelis. This city has about 600,000 people living in it, located in the more stable, deeper areas of ocean. To get to this city and the rest of Aquador, spaceships dock in the space station of Port Aquagate. Here, there are various ferry transports that can operate as spaceships and underwater craft, providing a link to Aquador and the rest of the galaxy.

Natural Resources

Auquador has a lucrative seafood market as it has many unique sea creatures and many fish farms in the deep underwater cities. There are large quantities of oil, but the locals only extract it in limited quantities to minimize damage to the moon’s environment. The rest of the galaxy doesn’t take much interest in the oil because crude oil only has limited applications with energy sources orders of magnitude more efficient and powerful, as well as oils from other sources used in other applications. The oil is also difficult and expensive to extract due to the enormous waves of the moon. This is why the Gexket Fuel Corporation that exploited Ringai was never interested in Aquador and left it alone.
