A massive celestial object slams into Garriland in the region now known as Geo.

One seemingly normal day, a massive fireball came flying through the sky, colliding with the region around modern day Geo. The resulting destruction rocketed debris all throughout the country and a barrage of tidal waves onto the land - the city of Mullonde particularly getting hit with the floods. The surrounding region was left scorched, and nothing but glass remained. This also set off a chain of volcanic eruptions, polluting the skies with ash.   The origin of the celestial object has been and is still argued about to this day. Some suggest it is the corpse of an expelled god being dumped into the mortal plane, others believe it is the child or reincarnation of an existing god, sent to help mortals. A number of witnesses recorded they saw the fireball originate from the Heaven Band - the arm of celestial objects that stretch across the entire sky. Either way, this impact has had lasting effects on the world, and it was 10 months after this collision that the first known magic user, Saint Ajora, was born.
