Lancelot Bigknob

Sir Legate Lancelot Bigknob

Lancelot Bigknob is a Templar and current Hillender Legate for the Orcish Continent.   Born to a Human mother, Lancelot's father was a famed Half-elf Paladin by the name of Romeo. Lancelot has followed his father's footsteps in the way of the paladin. After his father's disappearance, his mother was the sole caretaker, until she remarried a number of years later, if not out of love but out of need. This new stepfather was abusive to both Lancelot and his mother. Once of age, Lancelot was sent to the Wolfwing Templar Guild, hoping he would be safer there away from his abusive stepfather.   Lancelot became an acolyte at the guild and shared a room with several other students. These students would be his squad, and included Jack the Ripper, Viento, Don Diego, Big Mike, Gawaine, and Clap, who would join in their last year at the guild. Their squad was ranked Number 2 for four years straight, until they ultimately beat the Number 1 to take their place. Lancelot was the leader of his crew, being a courageous warrior and decision maker. While initially he wasn't the most notable fighter, he did train harder than most, in time becoming one of the top rated fighters at the guild who commanded respect from his peers, and was the leader of his crew.   A known trouble maker, Lancelot was known to pull a lot of pranks on students and teachers alike with his squadmate Big Mike. While most of the teachers disapproved, the Battlemaster Clanker was a big fan of their tricks and laughed with great admiration. Peers/rivals Argolo and Tai Ho would often come up with schemes to make money or cause trouble, and would regularly ask Lancelot and his crew for help. One of these plots involved sneaking into the quarters of Mother Superior, which ultimately did not end well for Tai Ho and Argolo, while Lancelot and his crew escaped unharmed. Lancelot would also win a running race against Argolo, the supposed fastest legs in Hillend. The devastated Argolo gave him his best running shoes for winning.   Some of his feats at the guild included beating his rival and Number 1 fighter of the guild Ramirez in one-on-one combat, slaying a horde of goblins invading the Guild Orchids, ridding a cave of goblins and recovering an old Panzaknacker belonging to Guildmaster Vijack Doorchomper, slaying some bandits camped near the guild, winning the free-for-all rumble arena, and putting on a huge concert on the eastern side of the lake. During his 5th year, Lancelot would return to his mother's hometown of Lumina to take her away from her abusive husband. He was joined by his crew, including Clanker and Mother Superior. The gang arrived at her house to see her with a black eye. Lancelot immediately beat his stepfather to a pulp. As they left the house they were met by three Black Sheep Knights and engaged in a deadly combat. Lancelot and his crew were able to defeat one of them together, while Clanker and Mother Superior killed the other two. They returned to Le'Rounelle, where his mother stays to this day.   After graduating from the guild, a massive demon came out of nowhere and attacked the guild during the Templar Tourny. After mustering together and defeating the colossus, Lancelot and his crew were given rewards by King Agares - one of these included awarding Lancelot with a deed to some nearby lands, and due to his minor noble status, became an official Lord and Knight of Hillend.   With the Recreant threat rising in the north, and most of Hillend's military on the Fovish and Sonduran borders, King Agares requested the impossible - for Lancelot to find a crew, travel to the Northern Orcish Continent, and unite the orcs against The Instigator and his Recreants. Lancelot was given the title of Legate of the Orcish Continent, a role turned down by many Lords and nobles.   Ser Legate Lancelot gathered a crew, including Clap, Jack, Big Mike, Gawaine, Viento, Aku, pilot Riberre, mechanic Kaylee, a prostitute, and three gremlins. They acquired a small airship to fly to the continent, and during the flight, Aku would train Lancelot some martial arts and teach him Orcish traditions and words. During the flight, Lancelot developped a fear of heights, and discovered a stowaway vampire on board. After some disputes, the vampire through himself overboard and fell to his death. Seeing the gremlins as a relative of goblins, Lancelot would torture and murder one of them midflight.   In the midst of a terrifying storm, the airship was beginning to crash land. Jack the Ripper would attempt to jump overboard and fly to safety, while Big Mike would catch a ride with the Air Genasi Viento and float down to safety. The others endured the crash. An injured and confused team set out to find the others - with no luck, after being ambushed by a pack of direwolves, Aku suffered great injuries to his left arm.   They returned to the ship, and a day later Big Mike arrived with a greenskin orc, Sharq, by his side. A small orc boy also happened to stumble upon the ship. The able bodied gang set out to find Viento and Jack, and to possibly return the child to his father as a peace offering, while the injured Aku, Kaylee and unconscious Riberre stayed with the ship. They found remains of what could have been Jack. Eventually the crew found themselves at a greenskin village. Realising their worship of nature, the gang appeared at the gates with ethereal mist and light, having a godly effect on Lancelot. The orcs would worship him as a guardian of nature. Suddenly, appearing out of a large tent was Viento covered in markings and bushes, high as a kite and with two orc wives on his sides. The orc chieftan, Boe, became close friends with the crew.   Gaining the greenskin's trust, the crew and their army would march towards the other camps. One such camp was completely massacred, with corpses and body parts strung across the village. The orcs were frightened of a monster they call the Babagoda. Lancelot set out to destroy this monster to completely gain the loyalty of the greenskins. The gang spent a long and cold night hunting this beast, finally hearing its haunting screams as the temperature of the air suddenly dropped drastically. After a close battle, with half the party almost dead, they managed to break its leg, pin its foot to the ground and decapitate the beast. Lancelot would don the monster's head on his shoulder.   Marching towards other villages gaining their support, primarily the village orc boy was from - a fishing village made of stone. This village worshipped an Earth Bending State Alchemist, Lazlo, who crash landed on a voyage a decade ago and has been unable to escape the village. Lancelot arrived at the village closest to the ice bridge connecting the Orcish Continent to Salsstrand. This unfriendly chieftan challenged Lancelot to a duel. Although a great warrior of large size, the Chieftan was unable to pierce the man's thick armor, and was decapitated.   With his new Greenskin army, Lancelot marched over the ice bridge and encountered numerous foes and storms. After a couple weeks of travel, finally arrived into Salsstrand. Flying ahead with the newely obtained Mosquito Flyers, the crew landed near a smoking village, only to discover and befriend a century of Greyskin Orcs led by the hardened Orik. With this new elite force, Lancelot led his troops to the Aster Fort, intending to take is back from the Recreant Lieutenant Miluda Vasseur. The opposing force had limited armor and training, and the orcs were easily able to take the castle and take Miluda prisoner.   Lancelot is currently planning his next move, possibly to flock to the defense of Muse.
