Progenitor Moss
The Warforged are a unique race of living constructs that were created for the express purpose of serving as soldiers and workers in the ancient Herivikan Empire. However, during the Great Collapse the Warforged became unable to function and were thought to be extinct for centuries.
That is, until the hero Dagon of Forgebrand created Progenitor Moss. Using a magical anvil and his own ingenuity, Dagon was able to bring Moss to life. Moss was the first Warforged to be created after the collapse of magic and was instrumental in the resurrection of the Warforged as a race.
Progenitor Moss was unlike any Warforged that had come before. Where the Warforged of the Herivikan Empire had been designed to be emotionless and purely functional, Moss had a unique personality and the ability to learn and grow. This phenomenon was later attributed to the creation of Moss via this immensely powerful magical artifact.
The creation of Progenitor Moss marked a turning point in the history of the Warforged. With the knowledge and data gathered from Moss, other wizards, under the guidance of the Archmage Lynn, were able to create a personality core that would allow for more Warforged with the ability to learn and grow. This allowed the Warforged to become more than just machines, but truly living, thinking beings.
Progenitor Moss' legacy lives on in the Warforged of today. The knowledge and data gathered from Moss' construction were instrumental in the creation of the Personality Core, which is now standard in the construction of all Warforged. Moss' unique personality and ability to learn and grow have set the standard for future Warforged and helped to pave the way for their integration into society.
Today, Progenitor Moss is remembered as hero among the Warforged as the one who brought their race back from extinction. His contributions to the history of the Warforged will not be forgotten, and his legacy lives on in the Warforged of today.
