British Royal Navy
History
The British Royal Navy was founded in 1536 and became an integral part of British histroy and culture. After the defeat of the Spanish Armada, British made vast efforts to have a large and powerful navy on the cutting edge of technology. Because of their efforts to man and finace such a large navy especially during war time, the British army was small, but the Navy was all they needed to defend the their island kingdom.
