Trouble at the Border
General Summary
Ascending the steps into the greater library entrance, Trazden Ironjaw could be heard conversing with a young woman. The conversation appeared to be a report of sorts about a trading post on the northern border with Slovengaard. Fizzik, a Library member themselves, joined the conversation immediately with the party not too far behind. The young woman turned out to be Sentra, a half-elf woman, who had helped write the missives about the Volskra plotting.
Tafoder, the trading post that marks the border between the two countries, has become one of the latest Volskra battlegrounds. The Slovengaard military has been roughing up travelers and robbing merchants, including Sentra, who were trying to cross the border. Sentra found the Volskra were behind this, and that not all of the militia was supportive of the measures. She believes that enough support still exists at the trading post to reverse course allowing for easier travel.
Trazden reminded her that the Library of Mora must stay neutral, but that the party was under no obligation nor was the city barred from rewarding them. When asked, Sentra did note that there was a western way through the wilderness that would allow the party to enter into Slovengaard undetected, but it would require more time traveling for the party as their path lies eastward.
Sentra then spoke of research at the Library of Gorgos to find a way to reverse or weaken the Gorgian creatures. Fizzik and Oliver both realized their skills would be better suited in this endeavor and announced their intent to leave the party. Oliver left some of his belongings with the party to help them on their journey and attempted to identify the last few items for the party before departing.
