Vaegiri

Vaegiri is spoken by many in the lands of the Vaegirs, and is the language originally spoken by the Vaegir tribes before the landed on the shores of Calradia. Many in the North have since learned either Low or High Calradic in order to effectively communicate with others on the continent, but some old folks and rural townships insist on retaining their traditional language. In addition, speaking in Vaegiri is a much better way to blend in in Northern society, since many now speak in a half-Vaegiri half-Calradic slang, easily setting foreigners apart from the rest.

The nobility of the North have largely learned High Calradic as well, and use it as their business language, but prefer to speak Vaegiri in informal settings.
