Swadian

Swadian is an elvish tongue, closer in many ways to Sylvan than to Low and High Calradic. It is a complex language that utilizes many tongue and throat movements which are unfamiliar or underused to Calradic languages, making it difficult to perfect to a 'fluent' level. It is spoken only by members of the Swadian Aristocracy and their closest servants. Unlike Vaegiri, Swadian scholar and authors write books in the Swadian language for consumption by their own nobility. Swadian nobility speak Low Calradic to their subjects, and Swadian to each other.

It is rare for persons outside of Swadia to be fluent in the language, though some diplomats and a few nobles from other nations have learned it as a way to not be at a disadvantage in diplomatic or mercantile dealings.
