Sibir
Sibir was founded in a dark valley amid the Chertyg Mountains by Nordic traders, who wished a base to buy furs from the local Vakken-speaking foresters. After the Vaegir tribes became principalities, and elected chieftains evolved into boyars who demanded taxes and labor as their due, this region became a magnet for Vaegirs who had little taste for deference. Today, the ambitious Isyaroving family governs this region, but they must always balance their hunger for wealth and men to fight their wars with their subjects' reluctance to provide it.
Furs and lumber are plentiful in the region surrounding Sibir. In addition, the ruggedness of the area and the draw from the most restless Vaegirs, means that Sibir is the home of many of the greatest warriors of the Vaegirs. In addition, the reverence here for the old ways has resulted in some of the most powerful Druids also coming from the town. It is rumoured that giant bears, massive sabre-toothed tigers, and mammoths still roam the lands of Sibir, so it is the perfect place for druids, warriors, and hunters to hone their skills, or die trying.
