The Calradian year, as standardized by the Calradian empire hundreds of years ago, is divided into 4 seasons of 60 days each.
Hyson
Hyson is the equivalent of summer.
North
Hyson in the North is the most wet time of year on the ground, as temperatures rise and snows/ice melts. In the Far North, this is a Dry Season, as temperatures never go below freezing, but there is still no precipitation.
Central
Summer in Central Calradia can be as varied as the nations that inhabit it. What is similar between them is that Hyson is the warmest month, and the month in which plants and crops grow the fastest. Summer is also the main fighting season, and fields are dry, the crops have already been planted, and this leaves many people to be sent to fight.
South
Hyson in the South Is sweltering and oppressive. Little is done that requires much exertion in these 60 days, and the locals do their best to stay cool and in the shade.
Redfall
Redfall is the equivalent of autumn.
North
Redfall in the North is little different to Hyson. The primary difference is that the Hyson melts stop and refreeze, creating large sheets of ice in valleys and near rivers.
Central
Redfall in the central lands is harvest season, and is when peasants fill the fields to collect the bountiful harvests that they have been cultivating since last Felnight
South
Redfall in the South is the time of years when the winds from the Southern Badlands begin, and is full of sandstorms. However, they see this as a sign of the better days to come.
Felnight
Felnight is the Calradian equivalent of Winter
North
Felnight in the North is the coldest time of year, and is so cold that those who live there strive to stay inside and with hearthfires burning.
Central
Felnight in the central lands varies significantly. The areas closer to the North experience frosty mornings, and occasional snows, while the regions on the shores of
The Perassic Sea have their wet season, which can cause muddy conditions, but also sets the stage for the coming planting season.
South
Felnight in the South is the warring season, as it is the coldest, and has the most precipitation. The Rivers of the South flood their banks in this season, and can widen onto floodplains, feeding the people of the cities with newly fertilized soil.
Raimunt
Raimunt is the Calradian equivalent of Spring
North
Raimunt of the North is the time when the winds from the south finally reach them, bringing warmer air, and ending the long and cold winter. This is the time when many beasts arise from hibernation, and can be at their most dangerous.
Central
Raimunt in Central Calradia is the rainiest of the seasons, regardless of region, and makes the soil ideal for planting.
South
Raimunt is colloquially called the "season of tears" by Southerners, because it is the time that heralds the return of Summer. The creatures of the desert consider this the time to hunt for food to keep them going throughout the hot summer, and so the deserts are particularly dangerous to traverse.
