Ocs Hall
Ocs Hall is one of the few towns in the The Kingdom of the Swadians that was founded after the seizure of the land from the Empire. This valley was once an isolated holdout of The Battanian Confederacy , centered on the Llyn Modris, a lake in a volcanic caldera that was said to be the seat of a giant. This land was conquered by the Swadian warlord Octian, who also gave his name to the nearby Ocspool lake. The Battanian tribes were driven inland, and took their legends with them.
The city was once the center of a large forest, but since founding the city the forest was fully cut to fuel the new buildings and constructions of the city. Today it is an agricultural centre, focusing on the production of Grain, barley, and oats. These goods are not only essential for feeding the large peasant population, but also for feeding the horse herds of the nearby city of Pravend. It could be said that this city was constructed solely for the purpose of feeding other cities. Due to the particularly large peasant population, and nothing of interest here for the nobility, this city has the lowest nobility to peasant ratio in the nation. due to this lack of oversight, it was also the founding place of the faction known as "the friends of the forest", an outlaw band which fled to the forest to avoid servitude, and was eventually forced to flee as their forest was slowly destroyed.
The city itself is quite small, and is dwarfed by the farmlands that surround it. The "City" is more of a secure military storage facility for goods to be prepared for export, rather than a fully functional city in and of itself.
