Jaculan
Jaculan sits in the warmer southern reaches of the Biscan coast in The Kingdom of the Swadians, among rolling hills known for their olive trees. It was once a favored resort of the imperial aristocracy, who hunted wild boars amid the oak forests to it's East. The independent peasantry of this region are known for their heterodox ideas. the Brotherhood of the Woods is but the latest of a series of rebellions to have broken out here, having originally began in Ocs Hall, and now dwelling the the forests between Jaculan and the River Pelorus. These rebels are sometimes aided by lower members of the Swadian aristocracy, that consider them a tool to use against rival Swadian houses. For others, the rebels are good practice upon which to test their martial prowess, and some of the best of the rebels are poached into joining the ranks of mercenary companies, tempted by the wealth that could be made by skilled mercenaries.
This City is also known for it's horse rearing. Not as famous as Pravend, but still well known due to it's location at the crux of many border skirmishes. The plains and rolling hills between Jaculan and Charas have been the site of many cavalry skirmishes between The Aserai Confederacy , Swadians, and The Western Calradian Empire.
Due to all of these factors, many nobles who reside in Sargoth and Galend will spend their time off here, either training their martial skills or enjoying the beautiful climate.
The city is built in, with the exception of the original outer walls of the Imperials, the traditional Swadian style with a tall ornate spire in the center the gradually lowers towards the walls. This architecture gives the city an imposing look from the outside.
