Galend

Galend overlooks the wave-beaten Biscan coast. It takes in the catch from the Biscan's intrepid fishermen who venture out into the Leviathan's Sea, as well as the wool of sheep from the green fog-covered hills. The current line of the Swadian king settled in this region during the early days of the Swadian invasion. After their conquest, the Swadians remodeled the city into the image of their towns from back home, leading to a very unique architectural style, not seen in the rest of Calradia.
The city is known mostly for being an example of home for the Swadians. The city is bordered by forests on one side, which are populated with many deer, boar, and rabbits for hunting sports. On the other side, are fertile plains, which are home to some of the best vineyards on the continent, which cultivate grape varieties from foreign shores that are unknown to other nations. Despite the cities beauty, the most beautiful of all is the arena of the blade singers. Though there are still some blade singers trained here, it is also known as the training ground for the cream of Swadian nobility. Every noble child will spend decades training here in the horse, blade, spear, and bow. Many foreigners describe the contests here as more exotic dances than combat, but none can argue with their deadliness. It is from here that the elite cavalry of the Swadians begin to be formed.
In addition, the city is home to one of the only (and arguably the greatest) schools of arts and music on the continent, attracting students from all over. It is said that any person who learns to weave song or story here will be able to bend the powers of the winds of magic with their art.
