Burning Expanse

The desert that dominates Lithria is a place not for the weak of body or spirit, but has become home to many in spite of its harsh heat and stinging winds.
Nomadic tribes move through the sands herding animals or raiding settlements while others choose to remain around fortified springs, rivers, oases, and ruins of the fallen empires of the past. No grand empires may live in the Expanse anymore, but many cities have been birthed around sources of water and natural resources. Some find their way to the desert for a new start, some are desperate, some in search of adventure - seeking treasures of a bygone age.
The Expanse is an arid landscape of shrubland, rocky wastes and sandy desert that progressively gets hotter closer to its center until it becomes utterly uninhabitable.
